Montserat Monastery is just north of Barcelona. It is definitely worth a visit but bring your own food and drink because it costs a bomb up there. The cable car is a fabulous way of getting up there ... makes you realise how remote it originally was.

I have also been twice up by car - not too difficult and wonderful views. Parking is limited, and NOT CHEAP!!

A great experience, but marred by everyone wanting to get their share of any money you have!
