Hi all
We have booked with monster travel and are expecting to travel to bulgaria on monday 19th. as you may know monster travel have ceased trading as of the 15th.
We recived a letter on the 16th saying that our travel arrangements have not been affected which seems ok .
I was wondering if i had a problem whilst over there whom would i call? the only number i have now is 01782828620 which is the general info number.
any ideas please?
I found this http://www.travelweekly.co.uk/Articles/2010/07/15/34249/monster+travel+ceases+trading.html
as long as you've got your tickets etc it sounds like you'll be OK. If you bought a package with a proper operator you only need their rep whilst away. If it was something Monster put together you'd better ask FTG, preferably before you go but that may be a bit tight http://www.freedomtravelgroup.co.uk/
This mess raises a big question. FTG support a lot of smaller holiday companies and claim to keep an eye on their accounts. Monster had massive debts and delayed filing their accounts - so how many more like them are out there and how many would it take to bring down FTG and Co-op Travel????
