Thinking of booking the Moon Palace for our wedding next year.

Looking for any information on the hotel, and weddings at the hotel.

How far away of the main strip is the hotel, what's the hotel really like, has any one been married there or attended a wedding in the hotel.

Also has ayone seen the other Palace hotels in Cancun in any brouchure, thought may be parents could stay at a sister hotel.

Thanks

We were there last year for a belated honeymoon! The rooms were cleaned everyday (with a fantastic new towel sculpture too!)and the more toiletries left. The mini bar was replenished every other day. Make sure you tell them it is a special anniversary, as we got a bottle of fizz and fruitbasket, and it was my hubbies birthday and they left a fab chocolate cake in our room too. They give you towel cards, which you exchange each day for a huge fluffy beach towel . I would recommend the Steak restaurant near the pool at the sunrise - if pablo is still there get him to make you a bob marley or a baileys milkshake - and make sure you try a huge rib eye steak. No reservations required, and we found it the best place and often quiet as others tended to go to the a la carte places. The Italin buffet is fab too.
Don't be put off by the beach - the pools are great! The beach at Beach Palace is fab, as is on the carribean sea rater than the penisular, and they do a free bus every day. It is right near the shops too (although its not a great place for major shopping) and well worth a day out!
Anyway I could rave for hours about this place, and am saving desparately to go back!

Hi Lbird, welcome to HT! :wave

I'd be very grateful if you'd post a review for the hotel HERE.

Many thanks :tup

The Baileys milkshake sounds delicious! Baileys is my favourite drink!

Pippy :D

Hello all - this is my first post and I had to do it here!

My husband and I got married in November 2000 at the Moon Palace and to say it was the best Holiday ever is an understatement.

I'm getting ready for work now, but when I get home later, I shall do a review of our 2 weeks there, but I warn you it may be long! :D

See you all later

Can't wait to read your report. Myself and my husband (in our fifties) fly out on Sunday morning from Manchester at 7am. This holiday of a life time was booked way back in August last year and I'm soooooo excited.

Has anyone been here with children? as I am thinking of going next Easter with my husband and 10 year old son. Also what is the sunbed situation like :cheers

My other half has been to the Moon Palace 3 times and loved every minute of it. If we could afford it, we would go there. We did the Barcelo Tuncancun Hotel last year in Aug and loved every minute of our stay there.

We transferred from the Caribbean Princess, which is a total dump! AVOID IT!

My husband and I are going to the Moon Palace in 4 weeks and cannot wait. Has anyone been recently, if so how is the Grand Palace shaping up?
Also, do mobiles work here and also hair straightners (typically female questions i know!)
