This time we have decided to go to Goa for a month, book a return flight, and find accomodation as soon as we get there. I quite like the idea of this because it means we arent stuck in one hotel.
Ive only ever been to the Northen resorts, calangute, baga, Arpora.
Id quite like to spend a few nights in a beach hut, i saw some lovely ones when we visited a deserted northen beach, forgot its name, something along the lines of Mandrem(sp)
Can anyone recommend any cheap hotels, got to have a swimming pool, and also will the beach huts be open in November?
we fly to Goa on the 1st November, and return home on the 30th November.

If you search under Maggies near goan heritage you'll get a number and email address. His appartments are newly built and I believe he has put in a swimming pool during the monsoon. It's in a nice location at the foot of Holiday road in Calangute (thats the road down to the beach from Daytrippers office) The beach is about 100 yards away, theres some great shacks there and lots of eating places nearby, I dont know his rates but it.s a nice place and been on the go for years and the brothers that own it are very nice, so it might be worth giving them a call as during Nov. you should be able to negotiate a decent rate Hope this helps Alan
