Well, we got back from Olu Deniz on Monday, and out of our party of four, I was the only one that got bitten, and that was only twice on my foot. Just take the necessary precautions - plug in in your room and maybe put some jungle juice on in the evenings and you should be fine.
Hope you have a good time

We find Autan is fantastic. Works well and smell ok!
The best repellent is Johnson's Off, you can buy it over there in the supermarkets or pharmacies.
I got back on the 15th and got bitten like mad. Three of us went and my hubs/son didnt get one bite.
Because i was getting bitten so much i got some repellent called something like Sin Kos from Azda and it did stop the bites. But then i got a really horrid rash all over from the repellent which was as bad, if not worse than the bites. Last night we were there i forgot to apply the repellent and got 11 bites in that one evening.
The Mozzies in Olu Deniz seem to very particular and only munch on the best people.

I normally get eaten alive and got bitten (as did my son) last year when we went in may, but in August this year I didnt get bitten once. Each person will find what works different to another, for instance the Johnsons one recommended above does nothing for me. They were spraying around the town often late at night while we were there, it was like walking around in a thick fog at times, and a couple of times while sat on the beach late at night on the bean bags at Buzz, they sprayed down there too . . .the smell is awful and it does get down your throat.
Another thing to do is to take odourless garlic capsules for a week or so before you go, as well as Vitamin B1, as this can create a natural repellant. if not I use Autan but use the full strength one with DEET
