Returned from Sa Coma 2 days ago and warn people to take a Deat based mosquito spray and cover up if possible in the evening. I didn't and suffered for it.

Stayed at Protur Vista Badia which was a great hotel. First day/night got 11 bites, think from sitting on the balcony till late. Next day/night 3 more. My fault as didn't use the spray but made sure I did after that and didn't get another bite.

Several of the bites turned really nasty pretty quickly especially around one ankle which blew up like a balloon within 2 days, had to go to Calla Millor to find a chemist and get cream as was a Sunday, which was much cheaper than here and really good. One bite went into a huge blister which was full of fluid, still have it after 9 days and is still big.

Walked to Calla Millor several times and only took 15 mins from Vista Badia. Boy did it rain 2 of the days we went there. Thunder storms, torrential rain, floods, the lot. We went all that way from Blighty to sit in a bar for 2 1/2 hours, we were trapped by the storm. Bliss. Apart from that a great holiday.

P.S. if you are thinking of going on a boat trip, please take travel tablets before. We went on the Porto Cristo Cat, calm day, sunny, they were throwing up everywhere. Bags and bags full of the stuff. Yuk, I suffer badly from travel sickness myself so was prepared.,
