Please help, we went to Praia da oura 2 years and went to a wonderful restaurant but can not remember the name. It was English run and its speciality was Whale and chips.
If anybody could help we would appreciate it ?
Whale and chips? I sincerely hope not.
Whale and chips? I sincerely hope not.
I think a lot of places use this instead of large fish and chips
if it helps it was opposite the pub called the ship
give us some more details was it on the strip if so at what end? there are so many places it could be ?
Was this place near to the Paulis pizzaria on the same road as the Oura Priaa hotel?
There was a supermarket on that corner. I seem to remember the name had something to do with a chicken or rooster.
Just remembered there was a lap dancing or strip club next door or next door but 1.
The restaurant I think is The Cockerel ( now renamed The Cockerel Country Kitchen) run by an english guy called Dave. its on the same street as the post office. Cheers Jayjan
I think it might be called "Ye Olde English Chippy", or at least that is what seems to be the one you are descibing.
Robby the chippy aint got a lap dancing/strip club next door to it haha ha ha. I think you are talkin about Laras Plaice which is the english chippy. It serves fish as big as whales & luvly mushy peas., thats next door to the Rockline Bar. The restaurant darren is talkin about is The Cockerel Country Kitchen its right next door to the strip club near Diamonds Bar on the same rua as the post office but at the other end about 30 mtrs lower down than Alisuper which is on the corner. Cheers Jayjan
I think next door to the "Ye Olde English Chippy" is the sportsbar Nelson's then it is a Strip Club, not that I've ever been in there
Diydaz, thats at the beach end of the strip on the mini roundabout, i thinks darren is nearer to St Eulalia. He does mention the name has something to do with a chicken or a rooster, maybe i'm right or maybe not. Wish he'd reply to these post take us all outa our misery hahaha. I maybe got mixed up with the chippys there is one up near Nelsons bar like u say called old english chippy i forgot about that one..Cheers Jayjan
