Although my web site is designed for yotties, who visit islands on a bit of a hit and run basis, you'll find some a few 'must try' places in it, including a couple of restaurants and a picturesque shop. Try:

Naxos town Hora is a must, a delightful maze of old buildings. One old Venetian house is open to the public, and often runs music evenings. With drinks. You'll see adverts around town.

Most nightlife revolves around 'Bouboulinas', the Naxos harbour-front street. Noisy, lively, expensive bars interspersed with the odd cheap ouzeri. A great place for people watching.

Consider also a day trip by boat around the minor Cyclades - a string of islands to the south or Paros and Naxos, which are usually pretty quiet outside the 6 week high season. And also either hire a car, or take an excursion, around the inland towns, which hum along quietly in their own original Greek style with little evidence of tourism.

Have a look at this website covering Naxos town and most of the island.

We stayed on naxos four years ago - absolutely fantastic place. Naxos town is a must - loads of lovely tavernas tucked away in the mazes of littles back streets and all along the front. It really is bustling at night. Beaches are fantastic, some being nudie so beware!
Places to visit, you could try getting the boat over to Paros - this is a lovely island too but I think Naxos has the edge personally

Hi we have just returned from St Georges beach stayed in Hotel lliovasilema 2 mins from beach . I would recomend a Taverna in the main square called scirocco if you want to visit at night you may have to book or stand in line for the next table but its worth it smashing. also try On the rocks bar on the way down to the harbour front.
if you need any more help please feel free to PM us and we will do our best to help
