We're thinking of booking with NCL for a cruise out of Venice next summer but dont want to pay for their "packaged" flights as they are really marked up. We're considering booking independant flights.

Just wondered if anyone had any idea of how far the port is from the airport and the best way of getting there? We're also considering flying out the day before, so any tips on how to get the easiest way to the port from the centre of Venice would be greatly appreciated.
