Been on tons of sites and we can't make our minds up , so if anyone can help/advise?
Here's our details and what we like/don't like
2 adults-early 50s.
like sun, sea, evening entertainment/daytime activities.
half board
preferably no under 16s
Price about £600 each
flight from Manchester August 13th-16th ( 2 weeks)
Yes, we've done a couple of Thomson Gold but they are so expensive this year and entertainment was poor last year
like-Spain, Majorca,Canary Isles,Greece,Cyprus
Don't fancy-Egypt, Turkey, Bulgaria,Tunisia,Morroco,Malta
Never tried-Ibiza, Menorca,Portugal,Italy,Corfu
Really struggling here-would we be better going in a travel agents, then checking if its cheaper online?

Menorca is really more for young families I would say, also it's fairly quiet with not much happening unless you have a car to travel round the Island.
My criteria was slightly different to yours, but no matter.
I found going to big sites like Thomson etc they normally have a late deals bit, put in restrictive dates and the airport, but NO Country the best way to get what was available.
You will find that if its a Monday its Zante, if its Tuesday it's Majorca, if its Wednesday its Corfu etc etc, flights were filling up as I looked though over the course of a few days. I think due to recesion maybe people are booking last minuite. Took me 3 days of searching the web.
I was getting desperate and was thinking of going to a travel agent, but managed to get a late deal with James Villas at 16% discount (but still a bit dear),probably no good for you as only two of you.
The Greek Islands seemed to have the best availability IMO.
I've had a little hunt around for you and I'm afraid the news isn't good. I doubt you're going to get a fortnight's half board during peak weeks for your budget of £600pp.
I've put a search through Thomas Cook and Thomson for flights departing from Manchester and the one that comes closest to your criteria is the Pionero Hotel/Santa Ponsa Park in Majorca, which comes out at £714pp but it says there's a further £30 per booking off that price. It's half board and is advertised as having day and evening entertainment. The problem with it though is that it isn't adults only.
I couldn't find any hb adult only hotels close to your budget. Sorry, I can't be of more help.
I don't think that you'll be able to get 2 weeks half board for £600pp. I did find one in Kos with Thomas Cook, but only if you could go on the 15th. It's still school holiday time, and because of this prices will be high. There are a few B & B's coming up in your price range.
Just looked at Thomsons and the late deals in particular. There are one or 2 in the £600 region 3/4 star half board. One in particular looks ok in Tenerife.
Travel Republic....13thAug...14nights H/B in Calas De Majorca ....£1164.38 total, plus card charge
My Mum loves Rocamarina Cala D'or but not sure whether you would get 2 weeks for 600.
Hope you find somewhere and have a fantastic holiday
Only 19 days or so and I am searching night and day.
We would love Tenerife as its a little cooler at night and we've been a few times and like it.We've been to Majorca many times and like that too. Mr Choco is the one that prefers a hotel with no kids.I can put up with it even though I work with 1000 teenagers in my job!
Will keep searching and let you know.
thanks again

Good luck choco. Let us know what you get.
