Hi there, sorry , your point is a bit hard to read, but as I see it you didn't have insurance to cover your hubby's illness (hope he's better now BTW)

It seems to me that the CO-OP are applying the letter of the law here...I would suggest writing to their customer relations department and appealing to their better nature (if they have one) - but I wouldn't hold my breath....
