Information on what is likely to run if the strikes go ahead and what to do if you can't travel is now online at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/service_disruptions/2010/dispute.html
The level of service will vary massively from route to route, many long distance Intercity journeys may still be possible but many short regional ones won't. It depends how much has been invested in modern automated signalling equipment - politicians of all parties please note!!
Advance ticket holders should read the conditions carefully, especially if they were intending to use East Coast. Off-Peak ticket holders should bear in mind that if they change travel dates the peak hour restrictions will still apply.
The planned rail strike by the RMT union has been cancelled, after it was challenged in the High Court. Network Rail was granted an injunction, following allegations of discrepancies in the RMT ballot for strike action ...
And what of the TSSAs supervisors strike of the same dates? This may not be as simple as some people think.
I've found the answer to my own question - TSSA are also rerunning their ballot in order to be able to synchronise with any new RMT action. So, back to square one -don't plan anything around Spring Bank Holiday!
