Had a look at this hotel last week when we were staying at the Conrad.It looks nice but it is too compact around the pool area for my liking.It is not on the beach and you have to walk down the parade of shops to get to the beach(200yds)When we were leaving the Conrad some of the rooms had lights on so it has just opened.The Baron next door is more spacious although is only BB where as the Palms is AI.

None of the usual sites have reviews of this new all inclusive hotel, only of its B+B sister Baron Resort.

Looks nice.. anyone been ?? . Wondered if anyone knows if food is solely buffet, or if their is a choice ( or upgrade to other eateries in sister hotel)

never been to Egypt... want some Easter sun, with wife ( likes shopping) and teenage son aged 14 ( so would like somethiong in evening )

well took the plunge booked 14 nights over easter at Baron Palms

Colin I had a look around the palms when I was staying at the Conrad.It is quite small compared to other complexes and the pool is surrounded by the room buildings.The beach is a short walk down through the shopping arcade.They pester you but we just walked on.The prices in the small shop in the Baron next door are good compared to these shops.The Conrad is next door and if you walk along the beach to your left you will come to their jetty with amazing snorkeling.

Looking at the reviews of the "main" hotel I don't think there should be much wrong with the Palms ,

Whilst having previosuly only been happy with 1 out of my 3 attempts at AI , I am optomisitic that this will be good standard -
worked out at £17pp per day extra at the Palms AI over Baron B+B -suppose I can go next door if need be !
