Hi everyone
Me & boyfriend's first holiday together to Egypt flying on Christmas Eve to Naama Bay, Novotel Sharm - hope it's a good choice nearly booked Domina Coral Oasis but thankfully read reviews first which were terrible!
On B&B so any recommendations of nearby restaurants would be really helpful for evening meals.
Any other tips/recommendations of things to do, excursions, bars, nightlife, prices etc would be great
Thanks
There is a nice promenade that runs along the front of the hotel(s) between the hotel and the beach which is a nice walk in to the resort and avoids all the hussle on the main road.
This is the Novotel website http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-1715-novotel-sharm-el-sheikh/index.shtml#

If you want a nice place to watch the sunset I can recommend that you turn left out the hotel and walk up the promenade for a few minutes until you reach the shop/bar at the end and go up on to the roof of Oonas where you can watch the sunset over the bay (take a cardigan/shawl), you will be able to enjoy a drink or try one of the flavored shisha pipe, I recommend the apple.

The main restaurants at both Novotel hotels provide an evening buffet - (March 2008 it was 200 LE per person) or there is the Italian restaurant on the Novotel's beach which is lovely though expensive. I'd recommend upstairs at Tamtams for local cuisine - think its part of Ghazala Beach complex about 5 minutes along the prom from the beach side of the Novotel towards the centre of Naama Bay. We had a fabulous paella at Danameer in Naama Bay just up from the side entrance of Maritim Jolie Ville. For a fish platter you can't go wrong with the Sinai Star in Old Sharm - simple, shabby surroundings but great atmosphere.
Have a fabulous holiday!
Regards, Caro
Thanks guys, both really helpful.....can't wait
