Hello folks,
I am pondering booking a week in Sharm/Naama bay for Jan 1st 2010 for me and my husband.
The problem is that we are not keen on all inclusive hotels. We also don't like HUGE hotels. We're 35 and like quiet days and reasonably lively evenings (restaurants and bars rather than nightclubs)
Is there anywhere smaller and more personal that you could recommend? Preferably B&B. I've tried reading the hotel reviews but there are just so many of them.
Ideally we'd like to be close enough to walk into Naama bay in the evening.
This hotel is often recommeded to people whose requirements seem similar to yours.
There are a few other bed and breakfast hotels in Namma Bay as well such as Hilton, Marriot, Novotel, Maritm all the large chains really, but these are normally as large as the AI hotels.
That looks lovely, thank you. Unfortunately I can't seem to find it anywhere for the dates we want.
Can recommend the Novotel in Naama Bay. There are 2 hotels the Novotel on the prom next to the beach or the Novotel Palm over the road. The former especially is very small and ideally suited to couples. Being a small B&B it has a totally different atmosphere and clientele base to the large all inclusives. When I stayed there was some low key entertainment (singer I think) but its the sort of place where people tend to leave the hotel in the evening and take a stroll down the prom.
We decided in the end that we really couldn't bear the thought of AI, and so instead are going to Morocco and have booked a week in a Riad which only has six bedrooms. Perfect for us.
I appreciate all the advice.
Regards Caro.
