I'm off to Sousse tomorrow and will definitely be taking a warm jacket for the evenings. Will probably be going with friends who live there to see the show and have dinner as it looks fantastic.

Have a very nice time !
Kind regards from the Netherlands,

Thanks Pittie. It's been pouring with rain here most of the day so I'll be glad to get out there, though clouds and wind are also forecast for the next few days.
Aslemma, you have just come back.We are going on Wednesday for 2 weeks,do you know if they will still be doing this trip then?,I know the evenings are cooling down a lot now,in your opinion do you think it would be too cold to sit outside to watch it,I was so looking forward to something different this year, done all the other trips in the past.
Well I finally made it to Lights and Lazers and can well recommend it.What a lovely show,so different.Cost us £25 each with Thomsons, coach collected us from hotel at 5.45pm,started off with the riders and horses in a small arena and music, then we all went into the banquet hall for the Tunisian meal,4 courses with as much wine, beer, soft drinks and water, then we went outside for the show, yes you do sit on concrete slabs but they give you thick basket woven mats to sit on,really enjoyed the evening and got back to our hotel in PEK about 11pm,they are still doing the show next week because we have friends out there that have booked for it,so if anyone is going do go to see it,didnt hear 1 complaint from anybody.
Sorry Crispy, as I don't get e-mails notifying me of posts I missed your query, but I'm certainly glad you managed to see it. I went last month, but with friends who live out there rather than with the rep and it was a superb show and well worth the 30 dinars we paid. During the meal there is a show put on on stages at both ends of the room which was also very good, though some people sitting in the middle of the room said they were unable to see either stage. The silly thing is that it is advertised all round Sousse as being for tourists and locals but the first three taxi drivers hadn't a clue. The fourth one took us part way, where we changed to a very small louage. Luckilly one friend was Tunisian so he took the louage driver's phone number and he picked us up after the show and took us all the way back. Apparently Sousse taxi drivers are not allowed to go that far, but there are many people who don't have a rep, either because they travel independently or are locals, so this really needs to be sorted out.
Yes it does need sorting out,got the impression that only the tour operators could take you there, all the tables had cards on them stating which to sit on ie,Thomsons etc, cant understand why the taxis cant take you there, they can take you to Monistir!! which is further,Thomsons are making a nice profit charging us £13 each for the short coach ride from PEK.
We certainly had a problem finding somewhere to sit to start with but were eventually found places right by one of the stages, which gave a good view of the show if you didn't mind getting a stiff neck. It is certainly a nice profit for the tour companies but obviously not everyone would be prepared (or feel confident enough) to do it independently, and I would have found it difficult without a local with me. We had another problem as my friends wanted to see me right to the door of my hotel but the hotel didn't want to let the louage through the gates. I offered to walk but with two English heads poking out of the back windows and a Tunisian one out of the front we were finally allowed through.
