I am always looking for new trips and things to do in Goa,
Last season Feb 2008 we did Wildernest Resort and loved it. Must get round to writing a review and posting the pictures.
I also went Fishing for the first time on the last Goan trip. A gang from our hotel went with Johns Boat trips out on Coco Beach.
All the first time ladies got the biggest catch. More so than the so called experts with their own rods. It was so funny. Unfortunately they weren't edible, they were crappy puffer fish. My boyfriend nearly caught crabs... haha, but it got away.
When I talk to people, some think that Goa is just a resort, like Benidorm etc. They don't realise that its miles and miles of coast line and everything else Inland. I will stop going to Goa when I have done everything, I havent even done North Goa yet, never mind the south ( apart form Palolem).
Still havent done Panjim Sunset cruise or casino boat.
Just wondering if people had ideas of other things to do, apart from those advertised by Reps/ taxi drivers etc ( waterfalls, croc trip, Spice Plantation, jungle Book etc..)
Try a game of golf at the LEELA RESORT
Thanks
neil
You can do the sunset cruise without going through your holiday rep,or any other agencies. Most people will get a taxi to panjim and the cruise sails about 6pm (takes about an hr) then go to the Dhelli Dhurbar for a meal afterwards. Your taxi driver will wait for you to finish the cruise then take you to the restaurant and wait until your ready to return to your hotel. The cruise is no more than a couple of quid and you can get food and drink onboard, its a good night out and you will see the locals letting their hair down. Hope this helps....Keith
The Goa tourism department do a wonderful coach trip round Old Goa, visiting all the churches, visits to a couple of temples and finishes off with a sunset cruise. We did our trip from the office by Calangute steps. It cost about 150 rps each person and the sunset cruise was extra but I can't remember how much but I know it was cheap. It was a really good day trip.
We went on the sunset cruise in March and it was 150 rupees each, we had a great time and finished off with a meal at the Delhi Darbar.
Just been having a look at the GTDC tours, they are very good value. Also on this site -

Has anyone seen the Tripurari Poornima boat festival ?
x lassi
Hi Lassi, the boat festival looks really good! We might go and see what it is like as we will be in Goa on the 12th. I have had to find out where Sanquelim is because I have never heard of the place. It is in North Goa but way in land.
yes i no we go all the way to india but we dont like spicy food liz
Its a multi cusine restaraunt and the food is superb, you must try the chicken lollipops there not spicy and the fresh melon juice
I don't think they do English food at Delhi Darbar,i'll check as i'm probably in there tomorrow. My wife doesn't like spicy food so always asks for the mild dishes.
The place where the Boat Festival is a long way from the coast, near the Wildernest resort, if I were able, I would combine it with a couple of days there.
