I booked a trip with Liberty Helicopters for my visit to NY in Dec, but since have read some terrible reviews of their service on Tripadvisor. Many complain of booking longer packages, but being bundled into the helicopter with people on shorter packages and who have paid less.
I have emailed Liberty Helicopters asking them to change my package, and to downgrade it to the cheaper one. I have given them 3 months notice. After chasing them, today they sent a short email back saying they do not downgrade e-tickets, even though on their website, and in the terms and conditions this is not mentioned anywhere.
I have now asked them for proof of where this is stated in their T&Cs. If I cancel totally I have to pay them $50. Has anyone else used this outfit? Or can you recommend a better helicopter tour company in NY as it seems that the service I can expect to get from these people is going to be awful.
Also, if it is not in their T&C's, surely I can argue my case here, but with who should they try and charge me?
Have you tried calling your credit card company to dispute the charge?
