Hi thank you david yes i did forget about this remember now was going to book for beni this year but the pennies was short lol
Now we are def booking for next year but just what to try and get it rigth before booking
Was really looking at the sol pelicanos or flamingo oasis or pueblo benidorm or rio park
Like the look of the flamingo oasis but read some reviews on here and since its changed to club room or something its gone down the pan does anyone know how far is it from the flamingo to the beach also is there shops and bars nearby to the flamingo
The servigroup pueblo benidorm is central ?? Does anyone know if you can upgrade to all-inclusive ??
Thank you for any advice
My review of the hotel, on another site, was not favourable, but that was based on what we thought of the hotel and basically that it was not value for money for the price we paid. The hotel was very clean, and the maid service excellent, club area great, food good for the first week, not so good the second. Aircon very poor in public areas and some of the rooms and the AI drinks in the main bars was like paint stripper. Premium drinks are available but if you want them the surcharge is rediculous.
That`s our opinion others differ.
Thanks for your reply
It wasn't on your list, but we stayed at the Hotel Helios last year and really liked it. The pool isn't the biggest but its in a good location, about 10 minutes walk from the beach, and the rooms were large.
What about hotel Venus- we have stayed at loads of hotels in benidorm- but since staying here- wouldnt go anywhere else.
After everyones help on here its def down to these two hotels
Sol pelicanos ocas ( Iknow the reviews are mixed but surely it cant be that bad ?
Servigroup pueblo benidorm
They both have good pool and are both central and have entertainment
What is the weather like in june ?? Also do you think there will be other children there in term time ??
Once again i would like to thank everyone for all there help
I haven't stayed at either, but on the reviews I would choose the Pueblo Benidorm for the food if they have the same chefs as the other Servigroup hotels. We stayed at the Orange and the food was excellent.
I wouldnt go to any of them but thats my opinion only But if i had to pick between the 2 it would be the pueblo but i would make sure its in the hotel and not out in the apartments at the back ..Mazza
Millymolly, despite what the government are trying to do there are still loads of families who take advantage of the cheaper holidays during term time - we used to until I got a job in education so we now have to pay up. There should be plenty of kids about (but not tooooo many )
Mazza could i ask why you say you wouldnt go to either ??
hopefully there will be other children around then
Once again thanks
Ive stayed in the pelicanos and the ocas and many more in that area the only thing i think the pelicanos has going for it is the large pool didnt like the food and found the staff very grumpy thats my reason for the pelicanos /ocas
For the pueblo i had friends stay there and not long ago got i wrote on another forum about there horror of being over run with rats they had photographic proof and droppings in there room this was in the annexe of the pueblo .
They had stayed there before and loved it thats why they went back thomsons has now paid them out after there ordeal .
Mazza
Appologies for highjacking your thread. But Mazza is obviously well travelled in regards to Beni. So need to ask him a quickie.

Just one point though, in case of any confusion. When you first posted about this trip, you mentioned staying in the Marine Hotel in the Old Town. If it is actually the Marina Hotel you are going to, then it is definitely not in the Old Town. The Marina Hotel sits on the junction of Avenida de Cuenca and Calle Gerona on the Levante side of town.
David
Anyhow colin ive never stayed in the marina hotel but family have and they go there every year for the festival in nov with no complaints .They say they love the size of the rooms and find everyone very pleasant at the hotel .
Ive only been to the secret fountain that is part of the marina hotel and its very nice Regards mazza
The only complaint I've read of the Marina is that they have opened a bar near the pool which is open to the public and the pool area is now busier with non-residents.
Yes luci they have and its very nice you can use marina pool .But wont be to busy this time a year mazza
Some people aren't happy unless they are moaning! The Secret Fountain lets people use the Marina pool but it's only kids who are going to go down there while their parents are having a drink. There are sunbeds up on the Secret Fountain's terrace anyway, so why would adults bother to go down? Most hotels will let non-residents use their pool as long as you buy the odd drink. The first time I tried it I felt very naughty and then I realized that they just don't care, spend some money and they are happy! Obviously, for that reason, you should avoid all-inclusives.
