Morning all
I am looking for advice regarding a holiday to Egypt in next year.
There will be my wife and i along with two 16 year old girls ,think we will be looking at the sharm area and aim to travel late June/ early July.
Looking for a good quality all inclusive , must have a choice of restaurants and pools . Ideally be situated on the beach .I will be doing a few dives whilst there so near a dive school would be a bonus.
We like the look of the Tropicana Grand Azure or something similar , big enough for the teenagers to have a bit of freedom without feeling us oldies are cramping their style , but still allowing us to keep an eye on them.
Would appreciate any advice or info on the area or hotels.
Thanks in advance
Jim
I just came back from a holiday with First Choice - check with your travel agent. We did the Nile Cruise as well as a week in sharm El Sheikh which totally made the holiday. Recommended!
Hi if you are looking in the Nabq area then look at Jaz Mirabel as lots going on for the girls and a lovely beach. It is at the far end of Nabq but close to Al Khan and La Strada and they may find not enough outside hotel. The hotel entertainment pretty much thu out Egypt in the eves in pretty low key. If the want nightclubs and a more lively area then look at Naama. There are lots of dive schools - google colona as they have a webcam at Nabq beach
We are just back from El Gouna with two 16 year olds, who had the time of their lives! We have been there before, so know quite a few locals and felt totally at ease letting the girls have their freedom in this resort! They thoroughly enjoyed the beach party at Mangroovy beach, wandering around downtown and marina on their own as its a totally hassle free resort and very, very safe. In Sharm you will find that most of the places are hotel based and not a lot to do outside unless you get the bus/taxi to Naama, and to be honest we wouldnt have let them there on their own.
If the complex is big enough i think the girls will be happy enough just to stay on site , wouldn't really be happy about them wandering around town where ever we holidayed.
If there are going to be other British teens at somewhere like the Grand Azure i think it would be ideal, also ideally situated on the beach to keep me happy during the day snorkeling and diving. Wife is happy lazing around soaking up the rays.
