you are getting coins at last
not matter much in the UK because the smallest we could get at the bureaux de change was LE100 notes
and for others there the £1 is going out of favour as a tip because they can't get them changed easily any more
I suggest you cut a slot in the lids of two large, empty marmite jars, make them slightly larger than the proposed size of the new coin and leave one on the desk in reception and one in the bar.
If you don't have any empty jars please let me know and I'll bring a couple of full ones over in July - you can provide the toast after an early morning snorkel.
He's probably got thousands of the things, and all with yellow lids.
Unless he put the rubbish out this week, of course.
Could use the big empty jars for the new LE 1 coins and the smaller jars for the 1 quid coins... the more the better...
can you still use 1le notes I have been given some notes my mother had left over from when she was there in 2004. Have any of the others notes changed as i also have 5le, 10le and 20le also 50 plastres notes. They are a bit grubby will that matter I didn't wont to tip with out of date money I could only get 50le notes from the bank.
Thanks
I used them OK just over 2 weeks ago in Hurghada so they should be OK
The LE1 pound coin is already in circulation - we picked some up whilst we were there last week
