Hi there
I like to do lots of research on best places to eat and places to see in resort before we get there.
Last year we went to Icmeler which I can highly recommend for everything.
This year going to Turqutries for first time, staying in Aydem Hotel, as it looked a good sized resort with a good beach, and not too long a transfer time.
However, unlike Icmeler I'm finding it hard to find many detailed reviews on restaurants and boat trips for the resort. They say its the 2nd largest resport in Bodrum area (after Bodrum) so was hoping it would have plenty of resturants to choose from.
Can anyone advise on good restaurants, also those by the sea. And boat trips ( Lazy day cruises to beaches etc) from Turgutries as opposed to from Bodrum. Does anyone know if they do a day trip to Gokova Bay from Turgutries. AND has anyone visited Gumusluk which is just around the corner, the pictures look nice, good sea side restaurants, how much is taxi fare?
Any info the above and on this resort very much appreciated?
Wendy
Wendililac,
Hi Darren
If you want to go upmarket, visit the marina - some great restaurants (and you can drool at the massive yachts). Also visit Sabinci Park - there's a cafe/restaurant in there and you can sit out on the balcony overlooking the sea - great views.
Gumusluk is lovely - the fish restaurants are a little pricier than normal but sitting overlooking the sea eating fresh fish, what could be better?
The whole of the Bodrum peninsula is easy to get around by dolmus and there's so much to see.
Sorry I haven't been specific in answer to some of your questions but hope I have given you a flavour of what's to come.
JAK xx
