No more Club Cubana!

No more club cubana! Gutted. Was going to go to Goa in Feb. Thinking of going else where. What's with the Goa at the moment. No Music after 10 difficult to get visas. Now the closure of the best club in Goa! If they don't want us their it'd be easier if they just said so!

I love goa mainly for the food, people beaches and atmosphere but I'm 22 years old. I still like to go out have a drink and a dance. Apparently that's not on

Just e-mailed cubana and they will indeed be open. apparently a rumor spread. He commented on the fact the other clubs band to gether each year. Possibly because they're european.

Well i'm happy at least but my other coments still stand.

i still won't be going there. but i'm glad they are still open because those advertising cards they give out at the beach, make really good bookmarks!!!

I use them for the exact same thing.
We went last year for the first time, not my cup of tea, but then I am probably too old :oops:

It was also a Wednesday, Ladies Night, and it was mobbed.
However a big crowd of us were talking of going there again this season just for a later night out and a bit of a laugh.
Also my OHs son and his girlfriend are coming with us in March, he is the same age as you Mardon and we wanted them to try it out, so I am glad its still open.
Although its not for me, there has to be enjoyment there to suit all ages.

I went to Cubana in March - Ladies night!! OMG!! I like clubbing (I'm 25), but this place was far too packed!! They let too many people in, to the point it is actually quite dangerous!! And the bit where the taxis drive up (literally right up to the door) I was hit twice by a taxi on my way out!! Don't get me wrong the place is amazing, and would have enjoyed my time there if it wasn't for the OVER crowding.

We went on another night and it was dead, well .... there were no people but the bugs made up for it...YUK!! :yuck

like i say, just use their advertising cards for a bookmark!! you can't go wrong. you don't need to go to the club for that!!

Well I love Club Cabanna, have been a few times, love Wednesdays. Looking forward to December as long as I can talk my friend into coming with me! - wouldn't go on my own.

Bob don't know about you but I find all that reading, sunbathing etc etc on the beach (using Cubanas card as a book mark of course) too tiring to want to go out clubbing don't you??!! :yipee

Are Tito's and Club Mambo still open as well, these were good clubs I have used in previous years. :hyper

Yeah there still open but I wont go to Tito's anymore out of principal. I put up a thread quite a few month back explaining why.

I'm going in February so its not too busy on Wednesday.

I now what you mean about the hill its scary! I love it.

Gemma33 i'm sure your OH's son and GF will love it there. There a decent crowd and a good choice of music.

I can also see why the "book mark using life experienced members" on here may find it a little much

Seriously though why is sunbathing and eating amazing food so tiring? It really is an effort to go out some night after concentrating so hard all day on getting a great tan

Oh to be able to reverse time and find Goa at 22 - they wouldn't have known what hit them if I had. :lol:

Nowadays they do cos when I am boogieing in the clubs I get so carried way everyone gets clobbered by the zimmer frame or tripped up by my stick :lol:

Mardon - I AM only joking - and to anyone who is disabled in any way - this silly banter is not meant to offend. I do however have arthritis and my boogieing days have definitely reduced somewhat so enjoy them Mardon while your still only a very old 22 years of age :lol:

Only just read your reply made me chuckle!

Still had no news if its open yet. It was still shut on the 22nd of November. Fingers crossed it'll be open for everyone by december??

Apparently the sign has been there a while. I e-mailed the owner a month or so back and said it was opening November. Must say getting a little worried! I love it in there!

The pizza's were nice too!

its the end of december now, still not open. and according to my taxi driver, sam, they might not get a licence. mainly because there was a stabbing there last season. alledgedly.
