I stayed there for one night a couple of months ago. I found the room excellent, and staff very good. Unfortunately I didn't get to use the restaurant, so can't comment on it. the one thing I would say is it's a little further out of the main attractions than i thought. A big advantage though is that it has it's own large, free car park. I'm staying up there again monday night, so can't be that bad...

I have stayed a couple of times (not exactly through choice). I don't think it's quite as bad as most of the reviews make out, but be aware some bedrooms have no windows and I found that really claustrophobic. I did contact Health & Safety but was told the rooms had been inspected and passed. My husband has to use inhalors and can panic if he can't get to a window and I found it inconvenient and frustrating not to be able to look out especially in the morning to find out what kind of weather to dress for. Food was not of a standard I would expect from a hotel like that.
Do not judge by the outside, the hotel gets some severe battering from the salt spray off the sea all year round and it is very difficult to keep the paint looking good.
There is a very big FREE car park with a bus stop and tram stop right outside the hotel.
