Thanks moonshine, didn't realise that the picture could be magnified, just phoned XL asking about our flights and they are ok at the moment, we opted for these flights because of the flight times they were a bit dearer than the later flights, the XL rep says letters will be posted if there are any changes, so if they are we will be in the same boat as our accomodation has been booked and payed for ans the transfer booked....fingers crossed

Infact as I was on the phone to John Tooheys missus XL have left a message asking if I received the letter and to ring back, I'm not ringing back though now as my missus is a bit peeved at the letter as it says they are sorry and there is nothing they can do about it but if we ring they would see what they can do, which to me is a double dutch letter

Also they have cancelled not us and that we have to write to them within 7 days to get our deposit back.

Anyway as it turns out now we have saved £50.00 odd pound on the original booking and now are staying in Icmeler for 18 days near enough and the saving from not booking with Thomascook will pay for 2 extra nights at the Tuncay

Only thing is, I'll have to stay in for 2 days at the Tuncay as I won't have enough spends lol

When i booked earlier this year with Going places, i didn`t realise that they used XL flights. I got all worried after reading some of the stories about them. Everything was fine until last week when i received a letter to say my flights home had been changed from 2.20am on 2nd oct to 2.20pm on the 1st. I`m not happy about it but should count myself lucky that they havn`t cancelled it.......yet

I've just been to my online banking and have £42.00 in my account yesterday was just over £300 XL have taken the money for the flights that they have cancelled, if it doesn't rain it pours, now I haven't got enough to pay my phone bill and maybe get charged because the money is no longer there to pay the direct debit.

Get on the phone to XL and tell them what has happened and that if the money is not debited back into your account today you will be billing them for any charges you may incur due to their actions !!!!!

Mark my words it will be there very quickly, i've done it myself.

You posted whilst I was on the phone micko sorry mate missed that, just spoke to them and they are putting it across as though I cancelled my flights, what a bum outfit they are. Anyway I've explained that they have taken over 270.00 out and I have direct debits coming out this week and next and that I have no money now to cover my bills, so Katherine said she will fill out a Return Form now and it will take a couple of days to go back into my account. Don't need this.

I'll have to borrow off my Mother just to tide me over to cover the bills.

Just can't believe what they said in the letter and on the phone, didn't get a apology either over the phone, well I won't be booking with them again that's for sure

I know its probably best to forget it, but i would definately send them the bill for any charges anyway, its the least they owe you for the hassle they have caused.

Anyway hope you end up having a better holiday than first planned, its no more than you deserve after all the crap thats gone your way.

I'll be off in 4 weeks and 5 days.................CANT WAIT !!!!!!!

chris/dave that's the flight I was on a few weeks back so you should be okay. The flight was full. Also it's not exel who are operating it, they are just the middle man and it is with Flyjet.

Turkish is a lot harder though.

Just had a phone call off onthebeach,com who I booked my flights with yesterday, the girl explained that the flight is wrong on their site the flight that is coming back is actually the day before, so instead of coming back on the 18th September now we come back on the 17th September so now I have to get intouch with ICR and tell them to knock a day off the Apartment for us

They are going to be well chuffed with me aren't they
