Hi, i dont see why not. Last year my sister got a really disgusting Hotel when she arrived on Holiday so she stayed in mine with me, nothing was said.
Transport, how many times(its happened to me a few times ) have you sat on a coach and have been waiting and waiting for the stragglers only to find out that they have arranged their own car/pick up without telling the Rep,

Everyone seems to say its OK.
Last summer we knew someone who didn't like their hotel so stayed elsewhere but kept their package room too. Used it on the last day ready for the airport pickup.

Maybe tell the rep at the airport that you've decided not to use that accommodation just to be on the safe side? Also it will save the other holidaymaker's coach being delayed whilst they wait for you

I did this last year no problems as said before make sure you tell the transfer rep so that people aren't waiting for you we did it and had no problems at all we booked a package holiday with Manos and booked out hotel room through med hotels .com saved us loads of money

We did this last year, like yourselves the package deal was much cheaper than "flight only".
The only thing I would say is check the return flight is on time a few hours before you are due to be picked up. On a package deal the reps check this info. We had a time when we arrived at the airport (without checking first) that the flight had been cancelled and re scheduled 10 hours later!
It is a long time to wait in an airport departure lounge.
Please do tell the rep on arrival though that you have made alternative arrangements for your accomodation and transfers.

Hi Tracy, yes we are going to Burak apartments, it seemed to get good reviews and Ramazan [owner] e mailed me back pronto and says he will pick us up at airport- so can't wait. Off to Thailand in 3 weeks so got a couple of hols to look forward to. Thanks for help.

Thanks to all your reassuring replies I just booked the package and have saved £127.00 on the flight only price. Can't quite beleive that a package works out cheaper but hey! who am I to argue. The money saved will go a long way to paying for my accommodation in Akyaka so I am well chuffed!
