The Barcelona Metro is also very good, easy to understand and cheap compared to the Tube.

From memory it takes about 15 mins from Placa de catalunya.

have a look here for info on the stadium and on other things to do.
as you are staying at the royal beach you should, if you are AI, be able to get cheap excursions to barcelona, monserrat or use their bus to go round the resorts.

We are stopping in Lloret de Mar and my young grandson would like to go to the Nou Camp in Barcelona. I understand we can get a bus from Lloret to Blanes and then the train from Blanes to Barcelona. Does anyone know how far the Nou Camp is from Barcelona railway station? Is it in walking distance or is there a bus route? I would be greatful for any info. Also, does anyone know who much the train is and how long it takes?

We went on the train from Pineda, the train took just over an hour, but certain trains depending on where they started from were very busy so we waited 30mins for the next one. It cost 6.40E return from Pineda and the metro cost 1.30 each way or something like that from a vending mchine.
We didn't have to pay for our 6 yr old, but when we took train to Blaines we did have to pay.???
We got off in Barcelona at Placa des Saints, then got onto the metro L5 towards Cornelia and got off at Collblanc 2 stops away.
When you come out your outside McDonalds on your left.
With McD's on your left walk away from McD's on the same side away from the main road and the metro, as if you've come up the metro steps and just keep going in that direction. Keepgoing until you reach a busy main road, turn right following the busy road you'll be able to see the Stadium in front of you. When you get to the busy ring road around the stadium cross over (there is a crossing) and walk to the left around the stadium and just round corner there's the big entrance and ticket kiosk, fast food place. If you go through there's a courtyard with more food outlets.
Took about 10-20mins on foot and quite pleasant.

We did get a map from the info place in the station but it had the metro on the wrong side of the road which really confused us, but a local man pointed us in the right direction, I think it was the look of bewilderment on all the Brits faces. there are signs inside the metro, but once outside we didn't see one!!

I was impressed with the tour that cost about 17E for adults (can't remember price for kids but they do hav a webite) as you can go at your own pace round the stadium. Could have done with a few bars open inside, but there are vending machines-we didn't have any change!
The kit was cheaper in the shop and you know it's not fake.
