Hi Nicola we are also going in November (for the first time also). We picked November rather than December, mostly for same reason as you - want to be at home for Xmas and the run up to Xmas is always hectic (especially for us women )
personally I would choose November, although I think the prices are a bit better for December.
I see you have been in April as well, we are going in april 2007, whats it like then?

Hi, im planning on getting a late deal, we usually book about 8 weeks in advance but we're determined to find a late deal this time.

Im off again to Goa in April 2007, if ive finished all my university work and can get time off work.

I loved it in April. Not as busy as Jan/Feb, but thats how we like it. It was very humid at night so i recommend getting air con, although we coped without it!

You'll have a fab time. Its great.

Hi its usually Jan/Feb we go as well, and we are going 4.2.07 but we have decided to try April as well.

hi there have been in nov and dec we found nov less busy we returned the 20th dec just in time for crimbo the only thing i found was that i did not feel like running around for all the last bits and bobs because i was still in goa mode

Both nice times to visit and can be cool in the evenings too, so a top on at night if your out could be a good idea.

Both are great, not too busy,dec is is the cheapest, especially booking last minute, you can usually pick up a couple of weeks under £400 if you hold your nerve till mid nov.before booking Alan

Both are great we normally go there around the 27th Nov and stay for 3 weeks just getting back before Christmas, if you leave it till Nov to get your visa then you can return before the visa expires. Last couple of years we have stayed at the Casa Seashell in Candolim

Thanks for all the comments! i think i will get my visa in mid nov and hold on for a late deal for the beginning of Dec, but if i cant find any i wont be too disappointed, as the visa will last till April, so ill just go away for 3 weeks in April, if we miss out on going in late Nov/dec.
