we are going back to the island on the 8th of oct,and this will be our 6th time at the hotel.
we have only ever stayed at this hotel in egypt,so i cant really compare it against others.
the only negative comments,is that the entertainment is mainly catered for italians and russians.so if you have children with you,it may not suit them.
there is 2 pools,a heated one near the beach, and this is where all the activities take place during the day,and there is a pool near the main reception building, which is quieter.
we have a lot of good friends at this hotel, and we always go back just to chill out and do nothing. if you would like any more info please dont hesitate to ask.

do they provide towels for the pool ? and are the safes in the room free or do they charge for the privilege !
yes you are provided fresh beach towels every day,and there is a safe in your room, which is free of charge.
are you going for 1 or 2 weeks ?

Whats the food like there, I am assuming it is the normal AI fayre you get but presumably it's nice as you are going back for the 6th time? Is it just one buffet restaurant and are there a la cartes that you can upgrade to if you fancy for a treat - at cost ?
Do you book direct, or go with a company? I'm sure i have priced it up with First choice in the past.
thanks, Doe
yes it is the usual fayre you get in the main restaurant, they have a pizza and fish restaurant that you have to book, but definately not a la carte, very basic. they have themed nights in the main restaurant, which is quite good, but please remember it is egypt, and a lot of people expect the same food as back home. since we started going we have seen a big improvement in the food offered now.
they have more on offer for kids now, where as before you could not get chicken nuggets, burgers or chips.
all in all as egypt gets more popular, the food offered is getting better. i hope i have helped with your enquiry.

i forgot to say that the last twice, we have booked with first choice,as they have been the cheapest, but before that i booked with travelcouncillors.

I'm always on the lookout for new hotels to try and noticed the Nubian as we drove back to the airport this year and thought it might be a possibility. Havent finally settled on resort not sure if to give El Gouna or Taba Heights a try. But it's great to get info from somone who has actually stayed at one of the hotels. Thanks again.
many thanks for the info, we are going for a week so will be passing you at the airport !
