Judith, I'd recommend THIS map from Amazon.
I think it was Ange on TA who told me about it and at only £3 was the best thing we bought for our trip. It fits in your pocket and has the whole of Manhattan and the subway routes plus all the 'sights' clearly marked. It's great for navigating your way.

Puddleduck - you mentioned that you booked in Jan for your May flight last year, can you remember if it was early Jan or late Jan - as you know we are restricted to our dates 19-26 May (this falls over Memorial Weekend) and looking at flights now we can go with Continental for £350. I wanna book at this price but are few saying wait a few more weeks and see if the prices drops!!!

I'm finding the prices for flights to Vegas too expensive just now. I want another £50 off....may have to wait a bit.

we arent havin a night out or anything till we go ha ha only kidding it will be cheap nights from now on so we have extra money to get the bargains

it's soooooo exciting - I can't believe I'm going back I've got my spending money all sorted only have to pay for accommdation when we arrive
