Hi there :wave We went mid October a couple of years ago and everything was open, the weather was great and we had a great time. (not a bit like Malta though  )

Hello charliegirl007, nice to see you are still about. What do you mean (not like Malta though) what I was looking for was bars with a bit of entertainment on at night, you know the sort of thing a singer/karaoke or a quiz night when we went to Cala d Or a few years ago like I said most of the bars were open but there was no entertainment and like you I like to get up and try to do a song or two.

Hi there,

PalmaNova/Magalluf most things are still open, only the big night clubs have shut down.

Hi there, We found all the entertainment we wanted in Mallorca during October. It's not like Malta in that we use Mallorca as a family holiday with the grandchildren and it is a beaches and evening entertainment type of holiday,( don't tell Sliema but I might even buy the Mirror newspaper when in Mallorca ) In Malta we tend to do more culture and nice eating and drinking with the locals as a couple. For a holiday with friends and relatives we go for short city breaks, it is long enough if you see what I mean  I think different holiday places suit different purposes don't you?

Hello stewart, I think I may be a bit over the hill for the big clubs now, they don't even give me the flyers that they hand round these days.

charliegirl, know what you mean on the city breaks, just come back from one to Berlin with our friends, also agree with you on sort of hoilday we take I do like Malta but felt a bit let down on our last visit do meanly to with the night life, thats why we are looking to go to Parma Nova we have been before but that was in May when thing were just starting up again so was not sure what would be open at that time of year, thank you for your replys all we have to do is find a nice hotel. The other thing with Spain most hotels tend to be half board and we like B&B so we can go out for a nice meal of a night time but never mind.

I am sure Goodfellow will be on to give you the low down on the bars with nightly entertainment. There will still be plenty open in October but the resort will be quietening down but certainly busier than somewhere like Cala Dor at that time of year.

Kind Regards

Palma Nova is still in full swing in October, when many of the other resorts are closed or just about to (which is sometimes worse!)

Maybe pm me a bit nearer the time and I'll try and update you.

Cheers
