Weather would be good for both but I would expect by end of may you could be getting into very HOT weather where there is more risk of stomach upsets . We usually go Easter and temps are already around 30-35 . I would expect middle -end october to be similar to that and End May higher .

So either would be good but I think if I had a choice I would go for the October half term . I'm guessing the sea would be warmer at that time too as it's had the very HOT months to wam it even more .

I agree with Lyn, October. I go in November now having gone through all the months in summer and was fed up of the curse. November temps are 85 in the day.

The month of May the temps for us was 90+ and getting hotter by the day as leading into the summer.

The month of October equally 90s but getting cooler by a degree or so each day heading for winter.
