Don't know as it was our fist visit but we heard from our rep that it had reached 43c a few days before we got there :o
And i checked the temperature about 5pm one day and it was only down to 31c in the shade:o So i reckon 38c approx in the day.
It was impossible to walk around anywhere, so we had to laze around on the beach....

Where we live in the west of the Island it has not reached 40c thankfully but we have just had three weeks of a heat wave (30 35c shade temps), it was very uncomfortable and sleeping was difficult as we do not like A/C running while in bed and to be honest at anytime.
It has cooled down to a more acceptable level now, mid to high 20's is still very warm but you can at least move around now.
The big problem this season is the humidity, this drains you far worse than that heat, local readings have been as high as 90% this is hard to take, and anyone not used to this will wounder what is happening to them, you just cant stop drinking fluids, your clothes are permanently wet or damp, you take many cold showers a day with little effect.
Night time is starting to cool down although it is still too hot to sleep properly, I find living here is go to bed early and get up before the sun comes over that mountain, then have a kip in the afternoon, in fact this is what many Cypriots do!...

Have a good time..
