Hi Caziann
We have mostly been in October...I think once in May and a couple of times at new year.October can be a bit hit & miss for weather but we have had real good sunny weather and then other times a bit of rain for a couple of days and sun as well and never cold .We have to go late October as hubby works in a school.I think end of September beginning October may be better weather for you.The Venus hotel has good food ,not a huge choice but well cooked and presented. You are not far away from the huge Sunday market , it's just behind the Helios hotel which is right opposite the Venus but just be careful of wallets and purses because there are always a lot of people and it's easy for them to be snatched in the throng.I'm sure you & your parents will have a good time. I know we are looking forward to our visit in October, we are trying out the Don Pancho hotel for a change.

Just about to book the venus and a friend advised me that the hotel is on an incline :( my mum has a breathing condition and needs to be on the flat. looking at the sol pelicanos/ocas, is this two hotels? if so which part is best? good location? sorry for all the questions, I just feel I am back to square one :(

I don't know where your friend has stayed but the Venus is about as flat as it can get!!! There are no hills in that area!!!!

The Sol Pelicanos/Ocas is ok (and yes it is two hotels, but they are joined), but they are further away from any entertainment, cabaret or whatever.

I would stick with the Venus if I were you and ignore your friend, they are VERY wrong!!!

caziann, Lisa is absolutely correct, ignore your friend.

Just a tip for your parents, if they decide to visit the UK Cabaret bar, don't use the steps down but go through the Presidente hotel using the ramp entrance, then go in the lift in reception down to the lower floor, so no steps.

Do you mean the Levante Club Hotel or the Levante Club Apartments?? Having stayed in the Levante Club Apartments and the Venus Hotel with my Mum who is in her 80's I would definitely go for the Venus. The location will be ideal for you AND your parents as there are no hills unlike the Levante Club Apartments which are up quite an incline. The food at the Venus is superb although the rooms are quite small and ordinary - but who goes to Bendorm to stay in their room!!!! Even if the entertainment in the Venus is not to your parents taste there are many clubs etc. within a short walk with varied entertainment that I'm sure they will find something to their liking. The Boulevard Bar just off the main road has entertainment to suit "senior" tastes and the drinks are very reasonable too.

The Levante Club Hotel is further our of Benidorm Central than either of the other two and I would not have stayed there with my Mum as the distance is too far out.

Benidorm has something for everyone, and most of the people who criticise it are the ones who have never been there. I can say this honestly as I was one of the critics until I visited Benidorm and became a convert - I love the place!!!!!!!!!!! Unfortunately health problems prevent me from going at the moment :cry but hopefully it won't be too long before I'm once again a Benibabe!!! :rofl I hope that you and your parents have a fantastic time in Benidorm.
