I visited there back in about 1990, when we stayed in Fethiye. I will have a look to see if I can find any old photos.

If someone has some, it would be great if they could post them, would love to see them. :)

You didn't mess up! All photo's go in to the upload folder where the album moderator (me!) screens them and files them in to to correct part of the photo gallery. I've updated the link in your post direct to the Olu Deniz album. I bet they bring back plenty of memories! Thanks for sharing them.

Back in '87, the "prom" at Olu was unpaved and unlit, and there were only a few sunbeds on the beach.

The wasn't much at the lagoon except for a shack selling drinks.

There was only one proper hotel - the Meri at the far side of the lagoon. There were 5 or 6 campsites with cabins along the front, including the Belcegiz:

Dalyan wasn't much visited. The beach at Iztuzu had more cows than sunbathers.

And the mudbaths were, shall we say, undeveloped.

Apologies for the fairly poor quality, but digital cameras hadn't been invented.

That's how I remember Olu Deniz, just a huge beach with a few sunloungers on, it was very beautiful back then but I haven't been there since.

I also remember the mud baths when there was just a smelly pool to rinse off in :-?

Places change so much in a few years don't they!
