For me it has got to be the point where the actual lagoon meets the sea, right on the edge. so pay the 2 YTL or whatever it is and enjoy yourself, but do not sit on the rocks on the opposite side of the lagoon area. i did it a few years ago and got stung by something very painful, bit like a very large nettle sting only 10 times worse.

Cheers Kev, most helpful thanks, and I will watch the stingey things
Oh and by the way, I assume the water is clear here, is it??
Clear as tap water, another way to get some good snorkelling in is to go on a boat trip, there are loads about for around £6 or £7 with lunch included.
Kev
Thanks so much Kev for your help. One more question, silly I know but do all the boats have ladders to get on and off as I am a scardey cat when it comes to jumping in deep water, ie I cant do it! And getting back on the boat with fins on without a ladder, well I would look a state!!!
Not a silly question at all, all the boats that i've been on have had ladders on and also a ramp at the rear so that you can walk to and from beaches, just one thing that you have to be wary about is the ramp moving up and down with the tide so you have to watch your step getting on and off the boats.
Kev
Once again, thanks Kev for all that info. Will have to give it a go next year
