Forgot to mention my return flight from Goa......
Grrrrrrr First Choice really put us over a barrell!!!
After sitting in the baking heat for 2 hours they announced that the flight was cancelled as the starter motor was broken! eek!!!!
Therefore we has a 24 hour wait - or so they said...23 hours and 35 mins to be exact, so guess who can't claim as much on their hols insurance!! Not only that, they guaranteed us that easy jet would quite happily transfer our flight till the next day. Hmmmm not the case.
We had to pay an extra £140 to get back to Edinburgh once we arrived in Gatwick! First Choice took the stance that 'You have arrived at your destination' 'You are no longer our responsibility' and that 'one of their reps would never tell us that easy jet can easily change flights' - hmmmm we were told that, by 3 different reps. So the fight goes on, it did put a slight dampner on our hol, but we'll get over it - by kicking some First Choice ass!!! teehee

Oi Goldie! at least you were delayed in the sun! try spending an extra 23 hours and 38 minutes in Gatwick airport!
As a matter of interest did they transfer you to the airport and tell you or could you stay at your resort for another day?

Okay point taken - and your not gonna like my responce....
We were delayed in our plane for 2 hours, then got given our baggage back whilst they sorted out our hotels...
We thought we'd just head back to our hotel, but no....
We stayed at the inter Continental 5 star resort in Palolem, which was soooo lovely!!! When we saw the room we were being given we thought we'd won the lottery... terrace opened up to the pool, the room was massive - the bathroom bigger than out apt in Baga! And the free food we were given was lovely.
The only downside - which was a massive one for us was that they were filming a bollywood movie there, so there was a disco (with the most god awful tunes) playing till 12am, we could have coped if the wakeup call wasn't at 2.30am!!! We did complain about this and were basically told that beggars can't be choosers!!! grrrr!

my mum and dad were on that flight too..they are not happy either....though slightly more than if they were stuck in the uk like i was for 12 hours last year...its not fair after 12 hourrs you get to cancel and get a full refund..you cant do that when you've alredy had the hol!!! stitch up!!
