Spadge - just to say I came back from HSB on Monday and whatever problems they had, they are all sorted now and it was brilliant (and I was worried about going after reading the reviews last month!)

Please let me know what HSB stands for. I'm new to Egypt and also looking for a good hotel so it would help if people used hotels' full names! Have spent two weeks looking at hotel reviews, and just when I think I've decided on one, something puts me off. Ideally looking for AI beach front hotel without having to get shuttle bus, plenty of room on beach, access for swimming (not into snorkelling or diving), good food, somewhere to walk around at night, not bothered about night life as such, just not too remote. Suitable for couple mid 50's. (No waterslides please!) Quiet adult pool preferred. Was looking at El Gouna, but now not sure.

The Red Sea Holiday Village is good for children. Its in Nabq bay which has shops ,bars and restaurants.
Its on its own stretch of beach. :sun2 Just realised you have flights booked and some say the HV is only available with First Choice and Thomson, but I saw it on Sunshine.co.uk
