We're off to the osborne this Dec, really looking forward to it. However, ive never been in December and i have heard its really quite cool in the evenings, so i didn't bother asking for air conditioning.
I thought if i could manage going in April with no air conditioning then im sure i can manage december.
Is it really that cool?
no its very hot in december you will need aircon
we've stayed at the Osborne in both December and January and were perfectly ok with just the ceiling fan. Although I wouldn't say that it gets really cool on an evening, we didn't feel that it was hot enough for us to need aircon. The first time we stayed we were in an airconditioned room for the first night but the units were so old and noisy and to be honest not that efficient. We felt that we were paying over the odds for something we didn't need so changed rooms to one with just a ceiling fan and we were definately comfortable enough.
You could always try a room with just a fan and if that wasn't enough swap to an room with aircon?
We are going to the Dona Terezinha for Xmas which I think is just by the Osbourne. Our Hotel has not got any Air com either just ceiling fan.
Been loads of times in December and managed with just the ceiling fan. I found the evenings nice and warm ......cooler than March but not cool in the sense of feeling chilly. Saying that our Goan friend sometimes comes out with us at night in his hooded jumper and wooly hat !
we're going on the 3rd, so arrive on the 4th, for 2 weeks
