If you are going straight to the ship at 12.30, and everything is on time, you should be on-board by about 2.00pm. If you have never been in Palma before, my advice would be to take the open-top bus from the cruise terminal entrance and get off in the centre of Palma. Once you have spent some time looking around you can board the open-top bus again, completing the tour and back to the cruise terminal. Make sure you aim to get back by 7.00pm so that you have an emergency plan i.e taxi if you miss the bus. It may be at that time of year the service ceases earlier, just check it out.

Otherwise just get a taxi to the cathedral area, and wander around from there. Quite expensive though (about 20 euros each way)for what is only a 2 mile journey. They rip you off, assuming you are loaded because you are cruising!

When we sail out of Palma we normaly walk to the mall/supermarket and stock up on stuff for the trip.
(out the port gates bear left then right, 5 mins)

The No 1 bus at the terminal goes into Palma. Just watch out for the swarthy pickpocket with the droopy moustache and satchel and his accomplice, an old man with a walking stick who is the distractor getting on the bus shouting. Hbrac foiled his attempt to reach into Mr hbrac's cargo shorts pocket by a sharp dig in his arm

Hbrac idea better, bus No1 from port gates + get off at Cathedral less than 2 euro.

Returned from Majorca on Sunday taxi from Palma to Palma Nova on meter =18 euro.
