Hi to you all ...
I have just come back from Goa and i have to say it was great !!
I have spend most of my time at Palolem beach this time and i think its one of the best beaches in Goa !! its a beautiful big beach with a lot of good restaurants and great atmosphare .
If you do go there , go to Alessandra resort . i think it is one of the best resorts in Palolem . the huts r really nice and authentic and the staff is great .
The food at Palolem is really good . Im vegeterian so i cant recomend about meat or seafood but the india food there is great .espacially "Mamus" restaurants . great indian dishes .
Have a great day
Jamie
Have to agree with you about Palolem, it is just amazing;paradise.
Spent 2 nights there in December and didn't want to leave!
Heading back to Goa in March and will definitely spend a week in Palolem
Heaven!
Hi IN, Where did you stay in Palolem and how much would you pay end Jan early Feb?
Have a great vacation
I've added the Alessandra Resort to our hotel review site. If you'd like to be the first to write a review of this accommodation please do so here http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/
Many thanks
I love Palolem! I don't think i'd want to go for a whole 2 or 3 week holiday but for 3-5 days its great! So beautiful and relaxing. I'll be there for 4 days this year. Can't wait
What sort of a trip is it from calangute?
Over an hour. Think its like hour and 20 I think. Nice trip down.. depending on how insane your driver is
Thanks,so it is doable in a day.
Where do you stay Mardon and how much are most huts for 3/4 days?
Stayed in Hi Tide Huts, on beach, basic but hot showers n very good restaurant, 800prs per nite, cant beat that! paradise on earth
chilly
I stayed at Ciarans but its expensive 2900rs a night. There are much less expensive huts but its for a special occasion.
Or you can get down by bus...3 actually - 4 hours and about 50p for the two of us LOL!
Bet thats an experiance in itself!
It was brilliant...especially as each bus looked like it had been made out of 6 other buses
Papa, it is doable in a day but i wouldnt want to make the trip there and back in a day, i have done, but it takes us almost 2 hours driving ourselves there from Candolim and we go down there to stay every month.... obviously we drive more slowly (or carefully) than the taxi drivers who forever overtake us (generally on the sharp bends or brow of a hill ) it is worth an overnight stay at least and if you dont fancy the basic beach huts there are guest houses/rooms... it is a tranquil and beautiful place...
chilly
Thanks Chillly,
Not sure I can persuade my OH to do a beach hut but whatever we decide it woukd be a night or two in a guesthouse.
Papa
