We are going in a weeks time, staying at the Sheraton Miramar. Will let you know what we think when we get back. Assumed this time of year the resort would be fairly busy!
It is quiet, as I said the bars and restaurants are almost empty. Saturday night they have an open air small stage with two chaps and guitars singing some decent stuff, well, eric clapton, dire straights etc, and the obligatory belly dancer, all free, stand and watch or buy a drink and sit basically. It's on the approach to Downtown near the aquarium and 'casino' . There is also an egyptian night on a sunday at Zaytuna beach, you dress up in the arabic costume, ride a camel, have a bbq and be entertained. El Gouna is very picturesque with its lagoons, but lacks any character in my opinion. You could blindfold somebody, place them there, remove the blindfold and they wouldn't have a clue even which country they're in. Don't get me wrong we did enjoy it, we just prefer our normal destination of the Coral Hilton at Nuweiba, but chalk and cheese springs to mind. Have a great time.
I spent 1 day and 1 evening there. It was a ghost town to say the least especially downtown loads of work going on .
Dont get me wrong this will be a fab place, but in a few years
