Okay lets leave it there!

If the disagreements continue, then I will have no alternative but to lock the topic and that wont be of any help to the original poster.

your hotel [Nereus] is on the junction of Tefkrou and Kostantias a short walk to both the harbour [Kato Pafos] and Bar street Neo Pafos [the town] is about a 2km walk [up hill] the tomb of the Kings is about 21/2 km walk fairly flat but probably dusty [unless you get rain] and not linked with footpaths all the way [unless they have put in some new ones since i was last there] cant help with bars/taverner's/restaurant's as we either eat at the hotel or try and get out to one of the villages where the food is better quality and cheaper than the tourist area, although a bit dear we do like to go to the pelican on the harbour front for a couple of drinks [at lunch time usually] and people watch,[and to see the tame pelicans]

Hi, i'm not to sure to give away all of these details as it might spoil the atmosphere of places mentioned.

Restaurants / Tavernas

Scorpios (Old Town Paphos) on a Monday or Thursday for the Greek Night - Meze and Greek Music and Dancing...all live!

7 St George, outer paphos (taxi needs to be taken)
- An all you can eat Meze, price includes a karafe of wine per couple.

Lara Bay, beyond Agious Georgious has a hidden gem known as Viklari - THE LAST CASTLE, which you must book in advance, the views are spectacular, its high up and is simple.

Try to steer clear of English themed diners, stick with the local, off beat looking places for the best in service and simply the best in food. Theres also a fantastic local place in Paphos Old Town called Fettas Corner (or Pettas Taverna locally) - great place for Loukoumades, Dolmades and any local dish, all at fantasticly cheap prices.

So - hunt them down and enjoy...

Ill be there 15th June to 1st July

:( Hi everybody, just got back only problem i wish we had had a fortnight not just the week, weather was hot hot hot sunburn the first day but still managed a good tan, i found a little place to eat which i feel deserves a mention as it was excellent value for money, great food and plenty of it, and very very friendly it was the "St Paul Pillar Taverna" run by Chris the chef who is Cypriot and his wife Jill from Walsall, what can i say about them, very friendly and very welcoming couple and as i said excellent food and excellent value, we ate there 4 out of our 7 nights and it would have been 7 if we had found it earlier, its not the easiest place to find as it's not on a main road but if you were to stand in front of and facing Debenhams take the alley to your left that goes around the back of the store there you will find a footpath passing an ancient site on your right (which i presume is St Paul Pillar Ruins) when you get to the road the taverna is in front of you it's only about 200 - 300 yards from debenhams, or if you walk from the harbour towards Pafos about 400 yards just look for the small blacboard on the wall of small side road on your left directing you to it, if you do try it say hello to Jill and Chris from Terry and Maggie. cheers Dag.
