Stop worrying,you've got enough time on it, just apply after you get back, any unused time will be added to your new one.

you've got 9 months so don't worry!
I think some brosures state you have to have 6 months left so you're still fine!

My sons passport runs out in Jan08 he has just gone to Malaga.Before he went I got e.mail off thomsons saying your passport only needs to be valid for the time you are there.Foreign office also says you don't need six months on it.Hope this puts your mind at ease,enjoy your hols.MaryB.

eu coventions states within the union your passport must be valis for the duration of your stay...HOWEVER many airlines impose their own rules many require either 3 or 6 months on your passport or thy will not accept you for check in
