We are travelling to Crete with James Villa's in May and have just noticed on the website booking that we have to provide all passport details including exp.dates, country of birth etc - I have never been asked this before on a holiday booking except for USA with ESTA form and as far as I was aware we shouldnt have to as its an EU country - anyone know anything about this. Been to Crete loads of times and never had to do this.
And they wanted all our insurance details as well - again never been asked - is this something peculiar to James Villas.
API information is now being used in many countries, including spain/portugal/cyprus/greece usuly it is collated by either the tour operator or airline
