yes thats fine as i have renewed my sons passport a few months back he turned 16 last month and i was told at the time around march if i applied then i could have a childs passport for him as he was still 15 at the time of applying, but if i waited til he was 16 then i would have to get an adults passport hence me applying in march to get a childs passport as it was a fair bit cheaper
