Hello, i am planning on getting married at St Pauls Bay in September 2012 (probably towards the end). I have already asked for some advice on the weddings thread, but i would like some general advice on the area please
Obviously i know you cannot predict the future prices, but i am not sure if i should book a package holiday for the guests, or would i be better off booking flights and hotel seperate?
The plan is for myself,my partner and son to go to pefkos for 2 weeks in a reasonably priced hotel/apartment, and then our wedding guests come for the second week, which will when the wedding takes place.
Am i right in thinking that it is about 5km (3miles) from st pauls bay to pefkos?
thanks
We found it value for money eating in the resturants in pefkos....my favorite was the resturant on the opposite corner from the Enigma ( we had reception on a balcony at the Enigma....but it was not the cheapest...or the best food )....cant remember the resturants name but we were getting a 3 course meal with wine and beer for a set price of about 9/10 euros ( was in 2009)....there was a good choice of dishes you could have too....and food was really good.......fresh cooked and well presented......my second favorite was the coloseum resturant....again good value for money and quality food.....its great walking the main street of an evening and deciding which resturant to eat in....
There are some good bars and a club where they have a waterfall you can jump off into a pool....my lads had some good good nights out there....
Beach is lovely and you can go fishing on a hired boat...they provide tackle bait ect too....cost 50euros for 2 hrs
Lindos is a lovely place to visit and at its best at night...entertainers on streets ect.....roof top resturants but more expensive than pefkos....we went to one with a great view of the flood lit sites....but was expensive and food was poor quality for price paid ....my impression was it had been factory mass produced and frozen....tasteless ..... you paid for the view
Lindos .....buy the filled crepes from the cafes ....thier speciality.....lovely mmmmmm
tweetie
thankyou very much for your advice. Lots of information there for me
As we arent getting married until 2012, i will wait until the tour operators bring out their summer 2012 holidays and i will call into a few to see what prices i will be getting.
thanks again

So it would be worth foning a few TO to see where you stand as i am sure the prices are better before all the rooms have gone.
Have a look at reviews on the Pefki Island Resort which is where i am going to next year, they are excellent and it is near all the restaurants/bars etc
Another excellent place to eat is Nostalgia it is medium size so wouls accomadate quite a lot of people, another is the Coliseum.

We have decided that we want to stay in a basic 3star hotel, and then on our wedding night we will stay in the 5star aquagrand hotel. It looks amazing.
