Phuket weather

We generally travel to Phuket in October and find the weather ok. We don't mind a bit of rain as it's warm. We didn't go last year but I heard from a friend who was there that it rained a lot... however, we have always been lucky.

Ever since a disastrous VERY wet experience in Koh Samui we now carry plastic ponchos (still unused) Wellies not needed but you might like to pack some shoes that don't mind getting a bit wet and won't fall to bits when you wade through the warm puddles.

We will be there the same time as you so I wish you fair weather :sun2

Cheers Geri,

Fingers crossed it will be mainly dry. I love a good rainstorm as long as it doesnt interfere too much with my sunbathing! Will prob pack a light waterproof just in case tho, I am just struggling through my last 4 days of work now, yey!

We have never worried about taking a waterproof but I always have a small umbrella in my bag and it has come in handy quite a few times, make sure you wear shoes or sandals with good grip as it can be so dangerous even trying to walk when raining as it can be so slippery.
