Well I have just returned from Alvor and we did some great cliff top walks from Alvor to Praia de Rocha, absolutely breathtaking and very accessable. Start from praiaina hotel where the cliffs are and follow the signs, even at this time of the year all the views still looks great

I am in Luz now and the weather is very variable. Walks are great but, for me, not in the rain, although there hasn't been rain every day. I you have a car then a trip to "the end of the world" at Sagres is well worth it but it can be very windy there. Depending on where you are staying the a bit of sun bathing is not out of the question. A little sheltered spot can be very warm and enjoyable.
