Hi all, We are looking to go to goa, for our 25th wedding anniversary in 2008.Have no idea which area to look at.We like to have a good choice of bars, resturants, and entertainment within walking distance.Not too quite.Our anniversary isnt until december, so would be looking to go after september.Is this time of year ok.Any advice would be really appreciated, as this is somewhere where I have always wanted to go, but must be honest am a bit nervous about going so far away.Been told it is a very safe place to go for a holiday.So all yo Goa lovers please give us as much advice and help us choose our special holiday. Sharon calangute is a good place its got alot going on in it and it has as many bars and places to eat that you could wish for ....nov..to april is the time most people go to goa ...we go every november for our wedding anniversary

It sounds to me from your posting that Baga / Calangute would meet your needs. Plenty of bars and restaurants etc yet still close enough to the Northern Beaches (hire a taxi to spend a romantic evening in one of the beach huts on Aswem or Mandrem beach).
